We initially started as a music festival in 2019, of which I was responsible for providing volunteer and training opportunities for local people.We got the keys to the Future Yard building in January 2020 (opening in line with the covid roadmap) and I was initially responsible for the talent pathway from Mosh Tots (gigs for kids), New Noise Music Centre (music tutoring for 11-16 yr olds) through to Sound Check (live music industry training) and Propeller (artist development, business incubation).I am happy to share that Future Yard has now expanded to a point that I can focus my energies on Talent Development which largely manifests in our Propeller programme. This is thanks to funding from partners including Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, LCR City Region Combined Authority, Wirral Borough Council amongst others.
