   Transferring knowledge and skills gained from my tenure in our legacy EDW/BI team, I joined Data Management- BI Systems as a SME and Tech Lead. The shift from old on-premise data warehouse systems to cloud solutions like Data Lake (AWS) and DataMart (Snowflake) requires a SME to bridge the migration of data from the legacy tech stack to the new cloud solutions. Institutional knowledge of our enterprise data is my super power. I possess the perfect balance of understanding the business and understanding the tech landscape. I work with my team to prioritize the ingestion of legacy system sources into the Data Lake. I analyze the business reporting needs and advise on suitable solutions based on audience and use case. I am the Organization Change Management PM responsible for communication and addressing consumers’ concerns regarding the sunset of Teradata (database), OBIEE DBs/Answers, Business Objects and their replacement with AWS Data Lake/Snowflake and MS PowerBI. I was recently appointed the PowerBI Operations Lead for the Center of Practice. In that role, I will manage community events (training, webinars, newsletters and will support the business with self-service inquiries and kick-start workshops and lastly, I will develop the PBI certified data set strategy at Advance. Approximately 50% of my workload is assignment based. The data analytic projects can include the development of new reports/ DBs, the ingestion of new data sources, extracts of data to be sent to third party partners and data availability research. My business channels include partnerships with the eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Store Operations, Merchandising, Finance and Environmental Health & Safety Teams. I was recognized and awarded “Be An Owner stock” for the development of the company’s Covid Dashboard. I am part of FUEGO-Latino Team Member Network. I volunteered my time outside work hours to translate materials into Spanish and French and with voice overs for training videos.
