Through my work in the Aldridge, Borden & Company taxation services group, I focus on tax planning and compliance for individuals as well as closely held businesses and fiduciaries. Additionally, with my designation as a Personal Financial Specialist, I am uniquely positioned to advise clients with all aspects of personal financial planning. Although I am passionate about serving clients in all stages of life and wealth, I have developed an expertise in serving high net worth individuals. I began my career in 1991 in the Birmingham office of Coopers & Lybrand and joined Aldridge, Borden & Company in 1995. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce & Business Administration before earning a Master of Tax Accounting degree. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of CPAs.I have served as President of the Board of Directors of the Federal Tax Clinic and currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Federal and State Tax Institute. Additionally, I am a member and past board of director of the Montgomery Estate Planning Council and I serve on the ASCPA Committee on State Taxation. I have also served as treasurer of the Landmarks Foundation and as vice president of Catholic Social Services. I have served in various capacities on the parent teacher associations of the Montgomery Academy and Holy Cross Episcopal School. I am a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where I have served on the Finance Committee. Additionally, I am a graduate (Class and past treasurer of Leadership Montgomery. Early in my career, I enjoyed serving on the Professional Advisory Board at the University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Accountancy. And, I have taught accounting classes as an adjunct professor at Huntingdon College and Auburn University at Montgomery.
