ABOUT CATALINA QUINTERO

I am a social impact, global development, and strategic partnerships executive with over 20 years of experience advancing systems-level change in fragile and humanitarian contexts. I work at the intersection of strategy, institutional leadership, and cross-sector partnership-building, shaping initiatives that mobilize capital, align stakeholders, and strengthen institutions serving forcibly displaced populations and vulnerable communities, including youth, women, and children affected by conflict and crisis. Throughout my career, I have led multi-million-dollar portfolios, built trusted partnerships across multilateral institutions, governments, philanthropy, and civil society, and translated complex humanitarian and geopolitical challenges into clear strategies that mobilize decision-makers and deliver measurable impact across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. I have a proven track record and extensive experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives, informing executive decision-making, partnering with C-suite leaders, boards, donors, and global stakeholders. I spent more than a decade at the World Bank leading global fragility and conflict initiatives and have advised the Government of Colombia on peace negotiations and reintegration efforts.As Founder of Coachiva, I support senior leaders and mission-driven institutions in strengthening organizational culture and leadership capacity, integrating justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion into leadership practices, fostering trust, and helping leaders navigate change with clarity and purpose. I also teach conflict management and transformation at Columbia University. At the heart of my work is a belief that sustainable systems change requires both strong institutions and grounded leadership. Lasting peace and social cohesion begin with leaders who lead from within, with clarity, purpose, and compassion.
