Leading and managing a portfolio of investments within the largest private philanthropy in the world. I help define and manage the foundation’s strategic media and communications partnerships and its grant-making global portfolio. In recent years I have developed philanthropic partnerships with media organizations, platforms and campaigns in dozens of countries, including first-ever of those partnerships with international broadcasters such as Al Jazeera, BBC World Service, and CNN, authoritative outlets such as Le Monde, El Pais, Spiegel, and the Financial Times, and media in India (NDTV), China (Guokr) and the US (HuffPost), to name a few.# Grant making in the media and communication development field globally, leading investments of well over $300million, including journalism, behavioral change communications, entertainment, digital campaigning, and documentary.# Manage supporting activities for transition to digital environment for media outlets around the world # Development and implementation of numerous in-house projects, programmatic support to the organizational leadership in areas such as Mis/Disinformation, gender equality and media, to name just the latest.# Development and implementation of a sophisticated media measurement framework and evaluation portfolio, that includes support for setting up institutions at Peking University (Center for Social Media Research), USC Annenberg (Media Impact Project) and MIT (Media Cloud).
