ABOUT CAROLINE CASTRO

Experienced Writer with a demonstrated history of working in the writing and editing industry. Skilled in iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, Student Development, Critical Thinking, and Student Leadership. Strong media and communication professional with a Bachelor\'s degree focused in Creative Writing from Knox College. I use my comedy to educate and build awareness through entertainment. I wrote a viral forward-facing campaign about paid family leave through CSMI’s Comedy Think Tank, a program that pairs comedy writers with non-profits to create engaging content and build social buzz and relatability around their causes. I’m also a playwright with a background in sex-education through Girls Inc of NYC with scripts ideal for educational discussion around the heavier topics of political and corporal autonomy. Interests: I would love to use my witty way with words (and scripts) to help non-profits spread their message through humorous social media content. Oddities: I’m a pun queen, parody song prodigy, and astrology pundit. Random fact about me: I use creativity to solve problems. I designed an entire brand of socks because I wanted to solve the missing sock predicament through art: by designing fraternal sets of socks that match without being identical. My multi-hyphenate brain will not be limited to singular darlings. Darling Oddity is an immersive brand of experiencing inner child fun through art, invention, creativity, and learning through joyful expression. My specialties are plays, play on words, videos that get plays, and being playful while factual :)
