Analyze warfighter gaps and generate C5I program requirements. Provide authoritative interpretation of afloat and shore legacy and existing network systems that support the Fleet, joint, and coalition operations. Serves as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for satellite and telecommunications systems and their supporting networks, transports, and supporting documentation.Conducts research into C5I technology and systems that require the use of SATCOM resources, communication systems or networks. Incorporates the results of studies into existing requirements, or uses them to generate new C5I warfighting requirements. Reviews and provides comments for the improvement of communication Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), instructions, directives, and other documentation as required. Generates correspondence, presentations, and naval messages in support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems and Intelligence (C5I) Requirements Directorate (N8) Navy Information Forces (NAVIFOR), Headquarters. Interprets requirement analysis, planning and programming support to substantive, mission-oriented programs that are broad in scope and have a direct and wide impact upon the equipment, readiness and sustainability of Navy C5I warfighting capabilities focused on Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes.Achievements:• Coordination with major staffs from Navy Headquarters, Fleet Commanders, Type Commander (TYCOMs), Combatant Commanders (COCOMs), and System Commanders (SYSCOMs) on communication requirements for maritime forces, customer commands, Operational Commanders’ staffs, subordinate units, and System Command Program offices ensuring operational requirements are met with appropriate resources, manpower, training and equipment.
