About Cassidy Ward

Hello! My name is Cassidy Ward, and I am a junior at the University of Connecticut. I am studying English with a focus on Writing and Composition Studies, and additional minor studies in Writing and Religion. I am enrolled in the Honors Program at UConn where my major-related courses are enriched by individual research projects. I am seeking professional experiences and opportunities where I can apply my reflective and journalistic writing skills while also helping others in creative and collaborative spaces.On the Storrs campus, I am a member of Her Campus UConn, Creative Writing Club, and Care Cakes. In Her Campus, I am an editor and I complete first-round edits on the articles written by other members. I am also a contributing writer; I write articles about music, writing practices, and my experiences as an undergraduate student. In Creative Writing Club, I participate in weekly writing-sprints to develop fictional characters and scenes. As a member of Care Cakes, I assist in baking and decorating cupcakes which are then donated to local soup kitchens.

   In my role as Sales Cashier at Golfers\' Warehouse, I greet all store guests in a friendly manner, handle cash or card payments and manage refunds, and tend to questions and queries from customers. I also promote the company rewards program to encourage the return of our shoppers while sharing my knowledge of in-store products and policies.
