ABOUT CASSIDY BROZOVICH
Current graduate student at Ohio State University dually enrolled in Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, for a masters and PhD, with research focused on the fluid dynamics and soil physics of root zones in space flight crop production systems. My master’s research has focused on experimentally and computationally investigating the soil hydraulic properties of lunar regolith stimulants. My PhD research will focus on the development of a 3D-printed artificial substrate capable of passively controlling water and oxygen distribution in microgravity-based crop production systems. As a pathways intern at NASA Glenn Research Center I am helping to research and develop cryogenic technologies for future spaceflight missions including rocket fuel storage, transfer, and thermal analysis. Additionally, the Lead of Student Success and workforce development for OSU Starlab helping undergraduate students define their college journey and prepare for future careers in the space industry.
