She always had a coupon in hand and knew how to stretch a budget.When I started dating my now-husband, Dylan, in 2014, my mom was thrilled to see that he shared the same mindset—choosing restaurants based on the best coupons and deals. Some might scoff at a date who hunts for restaurant coupons, but to me, his frugality was a major green flag!That mindset has shaped my passions as an adult:*Travel Junkie: I love to explore, but I refuse to overpay. I scour websites, compare options, and hunt for the best travel deals.*Passionate Home Chef: Eating out is expensive! So, I mastered cooking my favorite meals at home—better, healthier, and more affordable than restaurants.*DIY Home Renovator: In 2019, I bought a fixer-upper. Hiring professionals wasn’t an option, so I learned to do it myself. Five years later, I’ve proudly gutted and renovated a bathroom, kitchen, closet, and home office—saving tens of thousands in the process.So how does this all tie into my career?It led me to SavvyMoney, where I help others develop the financial habits I was fortunate to learn early on.
