Reporting directly to the Director of People Operations, this role set People Compliance priorities and tactical direction for the team and maximized efficiency to ensure OKR goals were met or exceeded, primarily dealing but not limited to entities in the US, the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and France. • Directed all People compliance-related programs for the People Division, ensuring seamless tracking, execution, and documentation of US and EMEA labor law and regulations. • Translated legal and regulatory requirements into system or process requirements, and monitored the effectiveness of control design, using and analyzing metrics to mitigate risk. • Held ownership of integral entity-level compliance controls, and led internal audits to ensure compliance. • Drove major People/HR compliance initiatives that impacted organizational effectiveness of this global all-remote company, advising all stakeholders & leaders. • Led the development and execution of work councils in France, the Netherlands, and Germany, reducing legal risk and improving employee engagement for 200+ employees. Provided continual guidance to affected leaders and team members. • Supported the complete HRIS system transition and implementation to industry leader Workday from BambooHR, and ensured effective integration to related HR systems. • Combined strategic HR planning with day-to-day execution, advising teams including Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, Payroll, Tax, Total Rewards & Benefits, Learning & Development, and more to ensure and maintain global HR compliance standards.
