About Cassandra Bowers

Dr. Cassandra Bowers is a respected movement communications leader in Wisconsin. In previous roles, she served as the Communications Director for the ACLU of Wisconsin and as an expert trainer in relational voting strategy for organizations in battleground states nationwide in 2020. Dr. Bowers has been leading All in Wisconsin\'s communications and narrative work since early 2021 and has recently founded and implemented AIW\'s BIPOC Communicators fellowship and hub. She also serves as the board president of the African American Roundtable, is on the transition advisory board for Wisconsin\'s new democracy table, and is on the advisory board for the Milwaukee Freedom Fund. Dr. Bowers has a Ph.D. in Business focused on Black women leaders in nonprofit organizations. She has over 20 years of Human Resources, Training, and Communications experience and is a former educator with more than ten years of teaching for several colleges in the Milwaukee area.

These women came to the table with their gifts, talents, skills, resources, and hearts forward facing to help and support AART’s staff and the work they lead with the community ensuring they are walking in their power and organizing the Milwaukee community to transform policies so they can thrive and live at their greatest potential.
