My work often happens behind the scenes, but always with one purpose in mind: to build a school where children can truly holistically thrive.Launching a school from the ground up has meant wearing many hats: designing systems, managing finances, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating strong relationships with government and community partners. These aren’t just operational tasks; they’re the foundation for a safe, inspiring, and learner-driven environment.Every decision I make is rooted in what matters most: creating a space where children are empowered to explore their gifts, build resilience, and develop a deep love of learning.We\'re proud to be launching in September 2025 with grades Preschool to Grade 5, growing each year to Grade 12. At Acton Central, learning is a hero’s journey, a dynamic path of discovery where students build critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills.Instead of traditional lectures, our guides facilitate Socratic discussions, hands-on projects, and peer collaboration, mirroring the way leaders learn and grow in the real world. It’s a holistic, mastery-based approach designed to help each learner find their unique voice and purpose.This work is deeply personal, and I’m honoured to help bring this transformative model to Calgary’s

I’m honoured to be bringing the Acton Academy model to life in Calgary—creating a space where children don’t just learn, but truly thrive. This journey began with my work in schools during university, where I saw firsthand the need for more meaningful, personalized education. It came full circle after having our daughter and searching for a learning environment that would ignite curiosity, build character, and honour the whole child. As Co-Founder and ED of Acton Academy Calgary Central, I’m driven by a powerful belief: every child is a genius—capable of extraordinary growth when given the freedom, challenge, and support to discover their unique path. At Acton Central, learning is a hero’s journey. We focus on holistic development—academic mastery, emotional intelligence, and real-world skills—preparing young people to lead lives of purpose.
