ABOUT CASSANDRA TYLER
Engaged, strategic, technical architect working with the talented team at Swinerton to change how preconstruction services are delivered. We are reducing construction chaos by shifting our engagement to the left with earlier team integration of our digital construction team - leveraging tools and expertise to support projects in the design phase where impact is highest and costs are lowest. This results in decreased design re-work, higher budget and schedule confidence, 4D project coordination, and the reduction of unknown risks in the construction phase. Value is realized for all members of the project life cycle – owners, designers, trades, contractor employees, building operators and end users. Together we strive to execute projects that are fulfilling for our teams by enabling focus on high-value activities and eliminating surprises. As Design Manager/Design Integrator it is my role to really dig into the meat of the project program, requirements, and designs to identify opportunities for efficiency and ensure project constructability and quality. Using building codes and standards (industry and organizational) to assess code and program conformance to develop innovative and fiscally responsible solutions is one of my most notable strengths. I develop teams that are nimble and responsive, quickly adapting to changing variables in scope, budget, program and schedule. The bulk of my experience is in Public Sector projects at the County, State and federal levels. I also have cross-sectional projects experience in semi-conductor and advanced technologies, industrial, military, private commercial, multi-family, and mixed use. I lean heavily towards the technical side, getting to shine through gritty problem solving and gaining a deep understanding of our client\'s complex design needs. For me, each project is a gigantic puzzle - taking shape as the boundaries and drivers are established. I have a long-time passion for community resiliency, sustainability, building re-use and adaptation. My commitment to a lifetime of learning means there is never a dull moment, and I look forward to what new projects I will get to tackle!
