Through the Golden Apple scholarship program scholars attend three summer institutes that focus on gaining exposure of triumphs and challenges in schools of need in Illinois. Scholars assist in day-to-day classroom functions, and attend classes and presentations to help further develop skills necessary to be a successful teacher in a school of need.
