The MCR Academic Representative provides an academic voice for the St Edmund Hall postgraduate student body within the Academic Committee. In addition, the role also requires event planning and serving on the Academic Endeavours Grant Committee - a financial grant that supports student academic-related activities.As the 2024/25 MCR Academic Representative, Cassandra planned and executed the College’s first MCR and SCR Academic Networking Event in Trinity Term 2025 in addition to continuing the recent tradition of hosting a termly research seminar in Hiliary Term. Cassandra also advocated for MCR members’ academic needs within the St Edmund Hall Academic Committee, while serving on the 2024/2025 St Edmund Hall Academic Endeavours Grant Committee.
