I am responsible for managing two distinct areas within Doncaster Skills Hub adult education and skills portfolio: Sector‑wide skills development and the Creative and Digital Adult Skills Fund (ASF) programme. My role combines strategic programme oversight, subcontractor and procurement management, inclusive of operational leadership to ensure high‑quality, compliant provision that meets local and regional priorities.Core Responsibilities:Sector Skills• Lead the planning, commissioning, and performance management of sector‑skills provision across Doncaster.• Oversee procurement processes, contract award, and ongoing contract management for subcontracted providers.• Ensure all delivery meets Adult Education Budget (AEB) and ASF funding rules, audit requirements, and Doncaster Council standards.• Monitor performance data, learner outcomes, and progression pathways to drive continuous improvement.Creative & Digital • Manage the Creative and Digital ASF programme, ensuring high‑quality curriculum design, delivery, and compliance.• Work with providers and employers to strengthen pathways into creative and digital employment.• Lead quality assurance processes and ensure provision aligns with labour market needs and sector priorities.South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Priorities:Innovation Project “ Bridging the Childcare Gap” • Manage Doncaster’s contribution to the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) AEB and Innovation Programme.• Liaise with SYMCA colleagues to ensure alignment with regional strategy, reporting requirements, and performance expectations.• Line‑manage a team of tutors delivering sector‑skills and creative/digital provision.• Provide leadership, direction, and quality oversight to ensure consistent, learner‑centred delivery.
