ABOUT CASPAR M.

I specialize in working on legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects of fast-growing and innovative platforms and companies. With over eight years of experience in the startup world, I have developed a strong expertise in banking regulation, anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, international commercial contracts, data protection laws and requirements, intellectual property, and various financial services regulations (e.g. payments and e-money). Additionally, I have been involved with multiple mergers and acquisitions.My passion is regulation: interpreting, validating, and applying the ever-changing regulatory landscape to my companies. I have interacted with regulators from over 15 countries in multiple languages to ensure our proper understanding and validating business models for the +5 market-entries outside of Germany. Understanding the requirements of various countries for the same area of regulation and applying them to an international organization or business strategy is necessary to ensure full compliance with the applicable legislation wherever my companies operate. I also bring a knowledge from engineering and enjoy bridging the communication gaps between various departments to drive success and also overseeing any legal or regulatory challenges —> “What do we want to deliver?” “What are we able to deliver and when?” “What can we all do to get there?”
