With over 10 years of experience as a senior engineer, I specialize in cloud-native SaaS application delivery using AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Istio, and other cutting-edge technologies. I currently work at PayPal, supporting the integration and growth of Happy Returns, a reverse logistics company that PayPal acquired in June 2021.In my role I get to work in a variety of areas - DevOps engineering including CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and Github and self-service developer workflows; cloud infrastructure, building systems in AWS using Terraform and Pulumi; security, automating remediation and compliance activities including security scans, security tool integrations, host remediation, AWS security best-practice implementation, Kubernetes RBAC and IAM and leading our SOC2 audit efforts including documentation, reporting, policies and remediation. Our team also uses Golang to define our infrastructure (Pulumi) and write internal tools such as webhook handlers, CLI tools used in GitHub Actions, and database migration tooling for RDS Postgres.Before that, I was a technical lead at Mindbody, leading the platform engineering team in developing the next-generation services platform on EKS. I enjoy solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable and reliable solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.
