Provides leadership of the business functions across the agency, including the agency’s technology, infrastructure, and workforce strategy. Chairs the agency’s mission support council (MSC) which operates as the senior decision-making body regarding the agency’s mission support portfolio and resolves issues with significant agency risk exposure. • Acts as an agent for the NASA Administrator’s Office to communicate the agency’s vision and strategic direction internally and externally. Builds and advances industry partnerships and strategic customer and congressional relationships, and drives the business of the agency to achieve NASA’s mission and goal in growing and expanding the space economy.• Provides overall leadership in managing NASA’s business risk profile, including integrated alignment of NASA’s budget cycle with programs, strategic priorities, and long-term planning efforts. Has direct oversight of the agency’s safety, security and mission services budget which includes infrastructure, mission support enabling services, acquisition / procurement, information technology, engineering management and technical authority. Partners with the Administrator, Deputy Administrator and Associate Administrator in the overall succession planning of leadership for the Agency.
