ABOUT CASEY CROSS
Diplomatic Security Service is the law enforcement and security arm of the U.S. Department of State, with a unique mission that blends federal law enforcement authority with global diplomatic presence. We play a dual role as federal law enforcement officers and members of the U.S. Foreign Service—stationed at nearly every U.S. embassy and consulate worldwide.I have led diverse teams through high-risk assignments, ensuring not only the physical safety of Secretaries of State and foreign dignitaries, but also enabling critical diplomatic engagements to happen securely and without interruption. Whether providing close protection, conducting sensitive investigations, or building trusted relationships with host-nation partners, I approach each mission with a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and cross-cultural awareness. As a U.S. law enforcement advisor to Ambassadors— I helped lead embassy security programs, crisis response, and investigative operations in some of the world’s most complex environments. I work closely with colleagues, host-country law enforcement, interagency partners, and community members to promote a safer and more stable global presence for the United States.I’m committed to service, leading and supporting my teams, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that diplomacy and development efforts can succeed even in the most challenging circumstances.
