About Casey Burpee
Video game veteran putting product on shelves since 1995. and still loving it. I started in an industry that had little specified positions for artists at the time, I was simply an artist and took on any art related task that came my way. I was able to try new positions, new tools and new techniques and over time I grew to love this aspect of game development. From learning multiple 3D modeling programs and game engines to different art styles and positions within an art team. This has allowed me to be a well-rounded developer with confidence to efficiently tackle any challenge.Apart from being a general 2d/3d artist, I’ve been an environment artist for over 9 years at Warner Brothers/Monolith and I’m currently enjoying the role of UI artist at Cat Daddy Games. Working in UI has allowed me to tap into the many different roles I’ve had over the years and I find that extremely satisfying. I still have more to learn but this is precisely why I love working in video games, over 20 years in this industry and I’m still learning and still enthralled with the process. My main duties are to implement and oversee the UI art style for WWE Super Card. I primarily work with a Game Designer and UX designer and manage a small team of UI artists. It is my responsibility to take a functioning shell from the UX designer and apply visual treatments, animations and coordinate with an effects team. I do everything from research, to concept, to asset creation, to technical implementation, to art directing and scheduling. As a game developer, I willingly throw myself at anything I can be of service too to the overall success of the product. I love doing Voice Over work and have done a bit here and there over the years. I am always eager to learn new tricks and tools, whatever I can do to become a more efficient and better overall game developer.

I don\'t just make buttons. I do everything from visualizing and concepting ideas, to art directing, to creating content for the final product. I also make sure all the Live Ops art needs are met on a daily basis. I like to wear a lot of hats.
