ABOUT CASEY BROWN
I grew up in the United States in coastal Maine with a father who is a wooden boat builder and a mother who is a freelance graphic designer. Solving problems through elegant design and quality craftsmanship has been a passion of mine since a young age. I completed a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2016 and have been working full time as a mechanical engineer in industry for the past eight years.In 2022 I took 3 months off to travel solo through Europe, North Africa, Central and South America. This fed a growing desire to live abroad and experience life in a different culture outside of the United States. After another 3 months of exploration in Europe in 2024, I moved to France full-time in early 2025 to embark on a new chapter as a freelance designer/builder. I was drawn to France due to the language and geographical abundance of beautiful cities, the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, the Alps, and the Pyrenees. I’m inspired by the vibrant ecosystem of technical work conducted in France together with its globally renowned art and music community, and I appreciate the rich combination of surrounding countries, cultures, and languages that influence life here. I seek work that involves creative problem solving and opportunities for design and craftsmanship, and I look forward to continued learning as I apply my skills to upcoming projects.
