About Casey Brown

I love working in a fast-paced and tight knit design environment like RightHand Robotics where I can use my CAD skills and hands-on experience. My expertise lies in getting together across teams to solve complex problems, and working with outside experts to bring my ideas to life. My passion for engineering started early - late nights in the workshop with my dad building projects around the house or fixing a car molded my brain to be design-oriented from the start. A STEM focused curriculum in high school and hands-on hobbies like blacksmithing and car maintenance solidified my interest that eventually led to Northeastern University, where I got my Bachelor\'s in mechanical engineering. I\'m constantly 3D printing to solve any and every problem I can think of at home. Integrating 3D printing into my other hobbies like botany and computer building has been thrilling - who needs to buy pots when you can print them!    Designed, documented, and implemented 15+ custom room-sized hardware assemblies resulting in effective and easy-to-assemble permanent workspaces - Reassessed approved vendors and moved the majority of manufacturing to Chinese vendors saving an average of 60% on custom parts and assemblies - Developed training manuals for future employees, reducing onboarding time for new hires from weeks to days and holding current employees to documented drawing standards
