Who We Are: Diabetes Sports Project (DSP) is an organization built to inspire. Led by a group of world class athletes who thrive with diabetes, their stories, athletic accomplishments and community outreach empower others to live healthy, responsible and active lives. We are dedicated to empowering the nearly 370 million affected by type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Through inspirational and educational community engagement, along with competition in the biggest sporting events in the world, DSP inspires and educates millions of people affected by diabetes.What We Do:The DSP ambassadors are directly engaged in the biggest endurance races and community events within the diabetes and healthcare industry around the world. We participate in diabetes camps, JDRF & ADA events, industry conferences and trade shows, hospital visits, patient support groups, medical professional events and much more. Additionally, our athletes compete at the highest levels of sports to demonstrate that goals can be achieved with diabetes. Every year the athletes earn podium finishes at 140.6 & 70.3 Ironman triathlons, Olympic distance and off-road triathlons, marquee marathons & ultra-marathon races, Where we do it:1. The DSP athletes compete at the biggest triathlon races around the world. Multiple athletes have qualified for the Ironman World Championship, 70.3 World Championship, ITU World Championship, Olympic Distance World Championships and ITU Off-Road world championships, and been a part of USAT Team USA. On the running side, we have numerous Boston Marathon qualifiers and Ultra-marathon victories. A number of our athletes ran from San Diego to NYC in 15 days. We have summited Mt Everest, completed a solo Run-Across-Canada and a ultra-marathon across the Sahara Desert. Our ambassadors are finishing these famous races at the top of their respected categories and showing that dreams can be achieved with proper diabetes management.
