ABOUT CASEY BAKHSH
I have been working in the field of HIV for over 24 years holding a variety of executive positions, including Chief Programs Officer at Tulsa Cares which is the largest and most comprehensive provider for prevention and care programs serving individuals affected with HIV/AIDS and HCV in the state of Oklahoma, specializing in wrap-around, client-tailored care rooted in principles of empowerment, self-worth, inclusion and hope. I am also the site Principal Investigator for the NOURISH-OK research study and serve on several Advisory Councils and Boards and is an Affiliate Instructor and practicum field supervisor for multiple disciplines within area universities. My enthusiasm and years of passion serve as motivation to seek out innovative ideas in an effort to bring hope, health and healing into client homes. Known for my interactive approach I have spent my career encouraging, inspiring, empowering and serving others and improving my community, as a community organizer, harm reduction educator, forever-student, and community-based researcher with a passion for transformative social change and coalition building. I am passionate about collaborating with peers, colleagues, and community partners to stimulate an increased experience of belonging, purpose, and well-being which is why I also continue to be a Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Tulsa and the Chair of the Fair Housing Committee.
