Innovative immunologist with 14 years of demonstrated research expertise in and passionate about T cell, antigen presenting cell and B cell immunology at mucosal barriers and immune-restricted sites and strong knowledge of molecular genetics, animal development and hematopoietic progenitor cell biology. Highly experienced in developing and optimizing in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo conventional T cell, antigen presenting cell and gd T cell functional assays to examine mechanisms of T cell immune suppression, T helper cell differentiation and antigen-specific T helper cell induction. Experienced in optimizing in vivo mouse models of autoimmune diseases, acute and chronic intestinal infections, and intestinal epithelial injury and working on establishing context-specific conditioning regimes for full MHC-mismatch transplantation and delivery of engineered cell therapies.
