Casandra’s background in teaching children with special needs and her work with children with emotional and behavioral disabilities has equipped her with a unique understanding of the special education system, as well as the interpersonal skills to understand and patiently communicate with the family law clients. When not practicing law, Casandra spends her free time volunteering as a Guardian Ad Litem assisting children as a Court appointed special advocate; as well as on the board of Brooke’s Place, which supports children and families with the death of immediate family members through peer support groups and therapy services (individual/family counseling). In addition, Casandra also works as a volunteer facilitator for the children’s peer support group nights on alternating weeks. Casandra has also had the distinction of being recognized as a 2019 “Rising Star” through Indiana Super Lawyers published in the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine for attorneys 40 or younger.
