Community Outreach and Events: Collaborate with community organizations to increase awareness of the initiatives of the DLF in Chicago. Facilitate inspirational events in coordination with the directors to promote the wide array of programs, including school-based meditation programs, women who have lost children to gun violence, gang intervention programs, and health/wellness programs. Implement strategic social media outreach in order to reach new audiences, engage with community partners, and increase awareness of transcendental meditation as a health/wellness technique and avenue to promote peace in our community. Act as liaison with Advisory Council for community events and outreach, salons and spreading our outreach to the greater Chicago-land area.School-based Quiet Time Program Associate Teacher: implement engaging activities to encourage students to practice the stress-reducing technique of Transcendental Meditation, track individual and group progress, collaborate with school staff to improve their own practice of TM, build supportive relationship with students and staff.
