Experience
Engineering Director
Dec 2011 — Present · Corvallis, OR, US
I currently lead the team who design and development Trimble\'s rugged mobile computers.Previously at Trimble:Innovation Director (January 2015 - August 2017): In this role, I led a great team of original thinkers who dream up, prototype, and propose new product concepts for Trimble\'s Mobile Computing Solutions business unit. Our charter was to transform the mobile workforce through innovative new products and services. I really enjoyed this role. It drew on all of my best skills and professional passions.Director of Technology Development (October 2013 - December 2014): I started this role by leading a small team tasked with Identifying strategic technologies and advancing their readiness level for possible inclusion in Trimble\'s various mobile computing platforms. I was later selected to work on an innovation team with a similar charter, but having a more holistic product focus.Director, R&D Engineering (December 2011 - September 2013): From a responsibility perspective, this was a fairly typical senior engineering management position. What made it unique, from my career perspective, is that it gave me an opportunity to advance my skills in a high volume product environment, which I had been wanting to do for quite some time.
