About Carter Gamble
I am a biomedical engineering student at North Carolina State University, pursuing a degree in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. I have been working as a research assistant at NCSU for over two years, studying metabolic pathways and their metabolites to identify mechanistic causes for stroke-related bone loss. I have also been an undergraduate teaching assistant for fundaments of biomedical design laboratory section since August 2023, assisting in teaching and evaluating students in CAD, cell culture, and embedded systems.In addition, I have been a research and development intern at BioAesthetics since May 2023, where I have been involved in optimizing polymer impregnated skin grafts for controlled drug delivery and improved tensile strength in treatment of 3rd degree burns. I have gained valuable skills and experience in cell culture, histology, and research and development, as well as a passion for improving the quality of life of patients with severe injuries. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to further contribute to the field of biomedical engineering, and to learn from and collaborate with other experts and innovators in the industry. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as a strong work ethic, curiosity, and creativity.
