Currently my role is a 50/50 split in responsibilities between people management and individual contributor work. I lead a four person support engineering team where we\'re responsible for ensuring that all of our data platform services are healthy and supportable. I\'m an SME in the design of new features and services ensuring that proposed designs/technologies will be able to meet product requirements and SLAs while also being able to provide APIs/logs necessary for visibility and mitigation in incidents, customer escalations, and KPI tracking. I coordinate quarterly OKR planning with our team where we prioritize what tools/automations/processes we need to develop to properly support our services while also providing mentorship and career guidance to other support engineers throughout the company.
