ABOUT CARSON VIGGIANO

I’m a policy analyst working at the intersection of climate resilience, humanitarian response, and international political affairs. I specialize in translating complex political–ecological systems into clear, actionable insights for policymakers, think tanks, NGOs, and local governments. My work combines rigorous quantitative and qualitative methods, including geospatial analysis, statistical modeling (Stata/R/Quantum GIS), multilingual communication (with fluency in Spanish and Portuguese, and proficiency in Arabic, German, and Bahasa), and large-scale data synthesis. I help organizations better understand how environmental change, conflict dynamics, governance structures, and public opinion shape civilian welfare. Across roles in the U.S, Latin America, Europe, and Africa, I’ve analyzed public sentiment on climate and foreign policy, evaluated gaps in humanitarian assistance, and produced research that informs more equitable, resilient, and community-centered interventions. I also bring experience examining the governance and societal impacts of emerging technologies, including AI systems used in security, crisis response, and political-risk environments. This work strengthens my ability to ask critical questions about how unprecedented technologies interact with power, institutions, and human outcomes. At my core, I’m motivated by helping mission-driven organizations make evidence-based decisions in complex global contexts, always in pursuit of more just and resilient communities.
