ABOUT CARSON KINROSS

Current:I am currently an Accounting Manager at Energy Exemplar, where I oversee key aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across financial reporting. My responsibilities include managing general ledger accounting, leading contract review processes within Salesforce to ensure proper revenue recognition, and partnering cross-functionally to support business operations.I also play a critical role in the annual financial statement audit, coordinating with external auditors and driving audit readiness. Through my work, I focus on strengthening processes, improving controls, and delivering reliable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Previous:Previously, I was an auditor at BDO USA, where I started as an intern in 2020 and was promoted annually until I reached Experienced Senior Audit Associate in 2024. I developed a deep understanding of GAAP and GAAS and performed analysis of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) at the PCAOB level. Additionally, I contributed to BDO’s recruiting efforts at Utah State University and led audit engagements for clients with revenues ranging from pre-revenue to over $3 billion. My goal was always to deliver exceptional value to my clients and my firm by applying my expertise, professionalism, and integrity.I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Utah and hold a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree from Southern Utah University.
