ABOUT CARSON MCFATRIDGE
I am a Senior at MSU studying Wildlife, Fisheries, & Aquaculture with a concentration in Wildlife & Agriculture Conservation. I am also working towards a Pre-Law minor. I graduated from Harding Academy in Searcy, Arkansas in 2021. I am currently employed by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission where I am learning the intricacies of managing public lands. Previously, I interned for the House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources and served as the President of the Mississippi State University Student Association. I have always had an interest in the fields of conservation and land management. I had unique opportunities growing up on a small hobby farm that have allowed me to see the benefits of integrating these focuses. Once in college, I found another interest for the legislative process and policy writing. I am currently looking for graduate programs focused on natural resources and conservation policy roles that would bolster my ability to advocate for farmers, rural life, and healthy ecosystems.
