My name is Carrilyn Williams, and I am a powerful advocate for change and empowerment. As a Psychology major with a minor in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University, I draw from my personal experiences with domestic violence to fuel my mission of creating safer communities for all—women, men, and children alike.My journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to justice and advocacy. Through my internships with Jumpstart, Mothering Justice, and as a Legislative Aide at the Georgia Capitol, I have developed a keen understanding of the systemic challenges facing marginalized communities. At Jumpstart, I work to improve literacy rates among children in underrepresented areas, promoting educational equity and opportunity. In my role with Mothering Justice, I amplify the voices of Black mothers in political discourse, ensuring their experiences shape impactful policies. As a Legislative Aide, I engage directly with the legislative process, helping analyze bills and support lawmakers in advancing meaningful change.With a strong foundation in empathy, critical thinking, and resilience, I am dedicated to becoming a family attorney who uplifts and protects families through compassionate, justice-driven legal support. I believe that by centering diverse perspectives and advocating for systemic change, we can create a more equitable world for everyone.
