ABOUT CARRIE FOSTER PARKER

Carrie is an Associate Vice President at CannonDesign\'s DC office, filling the role as student life / student union subject matter expert, client leader, and project manager. Focused primarily on servicing higher education clients with large, complex projects, Carrie enjoys crafting the user experience and solving design challenges at all scales. With broad project experience at client systems across the country, from Florida to Michigan to Texas and everywhere in between, Carrie enjoys great relationships with her clients. She has served two terms on Cannon\'s NEXT Council, a group of frontline emerging professionals from across the globe that directly advise the firm\'s leaders. She is currently serving as the Young Architect Representative for Virginia to the AIA Young Architect\'s Forum for the 20••••24 term, working with national representatives to advance the profession and careers of architects licensed less than 10 years. She also serves as an architect-representative on the AIA Manufacturer\'s Council, is a co-chair for the Buildings and Urban Design Solutions group with the Washington Board of Trade\'s Connected DMV initiative, and advocating for the profession at a variety of scales. For all of this she was awarded an Emerging Professional Award from AIA Virginia in 2020. In just 12 short years, Carrie has contributed to nearly $500 Million of designed higher education projects, totaling 1.3 Million square feet. And she’s just getting started.
