About Carrie Beehan
Carrie Beehan is a New York–based multimedia artist working across sculpture, sound, and artificial intelligence. Her current project, The Kind Robo Cartel, consists of conversational sculptures assembled from inherited industrial tools and embedded AI dialogue systems. Visitors can speak directly with the sculptures, creating unscripted exchanges between people and machine-built forms.Drawing from a background in painting, performance, music, and installation, Beehan’s work explores how material memory, voice, and technological systems can converge into responsive presence. The sculptures function simultaneously as objects, instruments, and conversational entities.In parallel with her artistic practice, she serves as Executive Director of the PowHERful Foundation, a nonprofit initiative supporting young women in completing college and transitioning into professional careers through mentorship, educational guidance, and access to critical resources.Beehan lives and works in New York City.
