I knew I wanted to become a police officer since I was six years old. I chose to join the Seattle Police Department because I wanted to work in a large and diverse metropolitan department that had endless opportunities to make a difference. I was fortunate that in my 30+ year career with SPD I had been empowered and encouraged to create and lead programs and projects to benefit the agency and the law enforcement profession. I was able to do this because of people who believed in me. It is my responsibility and my honor to share opportunities with future leaders.
