About Carrie J Hayes
I graduated from Auburn University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations with double minors in business and international studies. Written and verbal communication is my specialty, as I excel in and enjoy public speaking, editing, writing, scheduling, assisting, troubleshooting, communicating and organizing. I believe I perform best when combining those skills of mine with my passion for the performing arts, management, organization and working in a fast-paced environment. I believe I would perform at my best in a position that would require me to use those skills mentioned in a creative and innovative way.I also strongly involved myself in extra-curricular activities to complement my academic background at Auburn University. In addition to being a member in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Public Relations Council of Alabama and the National Sorority Leadership Recognition Honor Society, I believe my most relevant involvement for my desired career interest is my internship at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. This internship gave me unique insight into event planning, artist accommodations, artist contracts, the production side of performances, event marketing, writing and proofing educational, marketing, and public relations materials for educational events and programs, as well as researching content for said materials and assisting with programming and education-related fundraising initiatives/research.My most proud academic accomplishment that I believe will set me apart for any position is my experience studying abroad in Ariccia, Italy, for three months during spring 2018. During my time abroad, I was able to enhance my adaptability, advance my inter-cultural communication skills, develop problem-solving skills, enrich independence and maturity, and reinforce time management abilities. I believe these qualities will best enable me to be a strong asset wherever I go, as I would contribute a great sense of reliability, quick learning, strong communication and passion for entertainment.
