A library is an inclusive and open environment: a space warm and welcoming, where a thriving community of learners flourishes. A library is a catalyst for imagination and creativity, a place to discover more about ourselves and others, to engage in an empathetic testing of things we know not, but seek to understand. I lead a fantastic staff in a dynamic academic library, a place of possibility and lifelong learning, with an emphasis on information access, literacy, and user-centric services. Development of staff dedicated and competent who are interested in professional and personal growth is a priority. Leading this staff in pursuit of a library devoted to equity in access, diversity in collections and programming, and an inclusive space for all community users is the highest goal.
