ABOUT CARRIE BORNSTEIN
When you’re leading an innovative Jewish organization you’re constantly playing catch-up: trying to raise money, meet deadlines, build your team and board, and maybe even find time for lunch between meetings.Leadership is HARD. When you’re always up to your eyeballs, who has time to be as thoughtful as they’d like? That’s why I help teams and boards step out of the day-to-day - without overcomplicating everything - so they can figure out where to go and how to get there. Clients who work with me are able to- Lead more engaging board meetings- Discover new ways to raise money- Communicate more effectively- Build trust with their teams, boards, and stakeholders- Develop more sophisticated approaches to planning, governance, team building, and fundraising- Gain the tools, systems, and templates to translate their plans into actionI work with Jewish organizations who are on their feet but need more stability.WHO I AM:After 25 years working in the Jewish community, I bring the adaptability of a camp counselor, the creative problem-solving of an improviser, the fierce advocacy of a parent and 12 years of CEO experience leading a Jewish organization that I lifted up from local and niche to national and known. All of this taught me how to meet people where they are, build trust across difference, and guide communities toward clarity and purpose. I’m (unfortunately) a pro at leading through crisis, and I carried a baby for a Jewish couple overseas. Let’s just say. I can navigate just about anything that comes my way.AWW, THEY SAID WHAT?“Carrie Bornstein is the facilitator your organization needs. I was most impressed by the depth and diversity of great ideas for engaging our community. I realized a depth of commitment and insight, giving me confidence that together we can realize untapped potential.” - Federation CEOSO:If you want to face the future with confidence, shoot me a message and we’ll set up a 30-minute call to see if I can help.
