About Carolyn Stegon
Ms. Stegon is currently working as a Design Manager for a new courthouse project for the Judicial Council of California. She is a licensed California Civil PE and has done Structural Engineering Design, Program and Design Management at AECOM for over 20 years. As the PPM West Digital Lead for AECOM, she has worked globally within AECOM to deliver Program Management Digital Solutions to clients. She manages a Digital Plan Review Division within AECOM that has successfully launched work flows for clients to enhance project delivery success. In 2018, she lead a team to implement electronic plan review using Bluebeam Studio at the Division of the State Architect in California. The largest change at the Division in the past 100 years. She has changed the culture and transformed the industry by introducing and training projects teams to a new digital and efficient design review process. She has been working with the City and County of San Francisco’s (CCSF) permitting agencies. CCSF’s digital permit review process has helped kept the agency up and running during the Covid-19 pandemic and ensure the City is able to keep building affordable housing, the goal of the Mayor’s office.
