Carolyn has 15+ years of experience as an executive in the energy business and an additional 20+ years as a practicing lawyer. In her prior role, she served as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the nation\'s largest municipally-owned utility providing electric and gas service and as Chief Legal Officer for the utility. She also had responsibility for the Government Relations and Internal Audit functions. She previously served as Chief Compliance Officer and has managed Corporate Communications, Rates & Regulatory, People & Culture, Ethics & Compliance, and IT-Enterprise Security functions. Carolyn has extensive experience with the electric industry and market in Texas and in ERCOT. She works on issues involving NERC compliance, distributed generation, transition to smart grid, cost recovery and rate development, and regulatory and enterprise-wide compliance. She has also served as a member of the ERCOT Board of Directors.
