ABOUT CAROLYN KRAFT

I am an associate attorney at Maynard Nexsen practicing in estate, trust, and business planning. I received a Juris Doctorate at Vanderbilt Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in Environmental Studies/Geography and Political Science (emphasis in International Relations). At Vanderbilt Law School, I was the President of The Federalist Society, which gave me valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and creatively adapting to a changing environment on campus. In addition, I split my 2022 summer between two Nashville law firms, and I split my 2021 summer between the Circuit and Chancery Courts of the 21st Judicial District in Tennessee and the Criminal Division at the U.S.A.O in the Western District of Texas. Having experienced both private and public sector work has expanded my breadth of knowledge and has given me a unique perspective in the legal field. My double major undergraduate degree makes me a valuable member of the Nashville legal community. Studying two distinctly different majors, working to find how they overlap, and seeing how I can use my perspective to implement change has given me a unique insight into how our society functions as a whole. In addition, being on the Executive Board of a non-profit organization and working part-time at a law firm during my undergraduate studies cultivated strong leadership and time management skills.
