ABOUT CAROLYN HODO

I am an anatomic pathologist, Associate Professor, and Section Chief of Veterinary Pathology at the Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. I have experience in diagnostic pathology, non-human primates, toxicologic pathology and pre-clinical studies, both GLP and non-GLP. My research background is in epidemiology and disease ecology, especially in diseases at the wildlife-domestic animal-human interface. Much of my current research is focused on understanding, diagnosing, and preventing gastrointestinal disease in rhesus macaques, including chronic inflammatory diarrhea and colorectal cancer.
