I am Eastern Band Cherokee and Norwegian. I am committed to children, families and their communities, working with individuals, families, agencies, tribes and communities identifying issues relating to fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (F.A.S.D.), and helping create models for prevention and intervention. I assist tribes and organizations create cooperative models, advocating reforms in education, criminal justice, social services and the medical community to address the needs of people with organic brain damage and also consult with families and individuals living with an F.A.S.D.I present and keynote at conferences and offers workshops to people and agencies nationally and internationally. Team member at the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention and Diagnostic Network at the University of Washington for twelve years, and have served on federal, state, regional and local committees and workgroups. Co-created an awarding winning, Emmy nominated series on F.A.S.D. and two training manuals, one for the Center for Disease control and one for Western Australia. Conduct workshops on cultural diversity and wellness. As an F.A.S.D. consultant and educator, I work extensively with diverse communities, tribes and nations in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, including the Yukon Territory and have presented and consulted internationally in New Zealand, Norway and extensively in Australia.
