Primary responsibilities include working independently and across the organization to align all internal, external and social media strategies with the Commission’s business goals and social responsibility objectives. Additional responsibilities include:• Serving as the Gaming Commission’s LEAN Empire Belt, Language Access Coordinator, Internal Controls Officer, Intergovernmental Relations Liaison, and MWBE Compliance Coordinator.• Promoting the Lottery’s business acumen and safeguarding the integrity of its games via a hands-on media relations strategy and building strong cross-functional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.• Launching and managing the day-to-day activities of New York’s Responsible Play Partnership, a first-of-its-kind alliance of New York’s gaming operators and prevention and treatment providers, to help build awareness of problem gambling, its causes and resources available for those seeking help for a gambling disorder. • Conceptualizing and executing community-based events to heighten Problem Gambling awareness among key stakeholders including the prevention and treatment communities, education leaders, elected officials and the general public. • Conceptualizing and executing the statewide “We Check ID” underage gaming sales prevention training program currently in use at more than 95% of Lottery retail locations statewide. • Establishing positive, working relationships with key external stakeholders to advance the Commission’s business and social responsibility goals.• Managing the migration of the Commission’s in-house media distribution function over to the State’s proprietary system to ensure an uninterrupted flow of information to key media. • Working as part of a cross-functional team to develop, write, evaluate and award procurement contracts for goods and services valued between $100K and $500M. • Serving as a Commission representative and/or speaker at industry conferences and events.
