ABOUT CAROLYN HAGLER
As a former student-athlete at Northwestern, I learned to how to collaborate with a team to accomplish a collective goal. During my time at NU, I also pursued two fields of study - journalism and pre-medicine. I was able to work with established publications, like Smithsonian Magazine, where I developed an eye for detail. Additionally, I helped develop a student-run podcast for the McCormick School of Engineering while also holding a position at a Neurobiology laboratory on campus, where I studied the effects of sleep on patients with neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. All of these activities, plus a full academic course load, has made me tenacious, passionate, diligent, and skilled in time-management. Now, I am applying these skills as a research assistant at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine!
