ABOUT CAROLYN GREGOIRE

I’m a New York-based writer exploring philosophy and Buddhism, and a bestselling book collaborator and book coach for authors crafting nonfiction books of intellectual and spiritual depth. A former Senior Writer for the Huffington Post and Editor for Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, I’m also the co-author of \"Wired to Create: Unravelling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind\"(Penguin), written with psychologist Scott Barry Kaufman, which explores the minds of great artists and thinkers. The book has sold over copies, and the New York Times called it a \"satisfying overview of creativity research that is likely to provide nuggets of wisdom to even the most seasoned creative spirit.” I’m also the creator of the Webby Award-winning CREATIVE TYPES personality test, which has been taken over 15 million times by creatives around the world. Recently, my work has focused heavily on exploring impermanence and mortality. I wrote and designed DEATH ARCHETYPES, a popular contemplative personality test, and co-write the weekly newsletter Hello Mortal with death doula Maura McInerney-Rowley. Hello, Mortal was recently named a Substack bestseller. As a former Editor for Tricycle: The Buddhist Review—the leading Buddhist publication in the West—and Senior Writer for the Huffington Post, I covered psychology, health and spirituality. My writing on these topics and more has appeared in Scientific American, TIME, Inc, Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Quartz, Yoga Journal, Tricycle, and other publications. I also work with both emerging and established authors as an editor, writing coach and \"book doula.\" I\'ve supported and collaborated on dozens of books published by Big Five publishers, including several award-winning and bestselling titles. My areas of focus are personal narrative, psychology, philosophy, creativity and Buddhism. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in creativity as a path to self-knowledge and personal liberation. I see the book-writing journey as not just a craft but a form of inner work, and I’m honored to play a role in helping others to bring forth their voices, visions and truths.
